About Us
Art for All Mental Health provides therapeutic creative sessions for adults living with mental health conditions across Cheltenham and the wider Gloucestershire area.
The organisation has grown from over 30 years of experience delivering creative mental health support within the community. It began as a small local initiative and has developed into a well-established service supporting adults who benefit from regular, ongoing therapeutic activity and social connection.
Our purpose is to provide accessible, long-term support that helps people manage their mental health in a practical and sustainable way. We believe that regular creative activity, shared with others in a supportive environment, can make a lasting difference to people’s mental health and therefore quality of life. We run sessions from Gas Green Community Centre, in community venues, in local green spaces, and through our outreach programme, bringing our work directly to other organisations and communities.
Our sessions provide a welcoming and supportive environment where people can use the proven benefits of creativity to strengthen and sustainably improve their mental health.
Participants explore a wide range of therapeutic creative activities including drawing, painting, printmaking, creative woodworking, craft, nature journalling and photography.
Living with a mental health condition can be isolating. Our sessions offer the opportunity to connect with others in a safe and understanding environment. Participants regularly tell us they feel less alone, more confident and better able to cope with everyday challenges.
